The Program

The object of the program is to provide a high-level postgraduate education in the field of PRENATAL DIAGNOSIS DELIVERY CONTRACEPTION, combining basic laboratory research with clinical practice.


The lessons

The courses are coordinated by the faculty members of the Department of Medicine of the University of Athens and will be held in collaboration with recognized professors and researchers from Universities
and Research Institutions at home and abroad promoting an international orientation, the official languages ​​of the program are Greek and English.

The participants

Master Degree participants will familiarize themselves with the basic principles, methodology and skills required for Prenatal Control, Contraception and Childbirth. In addition, they will be trained in the
principles of family planning and bioethics.

The graduates

Graduates will have the opportunity to be thoroughly trained in areas such as Obstetrics and Gynecology, Obstetrics, Molecular Diagnostics in Human Reproduction and will be able to staff both academic
and research Institutions as well as biomedical, diagnostic laboratories.

Categories of Candidates for studying at Master Degree  

Graduates of the Departments of Medicine, Psychology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, Nursing of the Universities of the country or corresponding recognized foreign Institutions are admitted to the PMS. Graduates of TEI Departments of Obstetrics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics are also accepted as well as TEI Departments of a related subject in the country
or corresponding recognized equivalent Institutions abroad.
A Master's Degree is not awarded to a student whose first cycle degree from a foreign institution has not been recognized by the Interdisciplinary
Organization for the Recognition of Academic Titles and Information Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Imfomation Center (D.O.A.T.A.P.), according to Law 3328/2005 (A' 80). The number of admissions per year is limited to a maximum of 60 postgraduate students.
